If you hang out around South County for very long, you'll quickly find out that we don't place a whole lot of value on people's religious or denominational background. What we really value around here is a personal relationship with Jesus. In fact, the most important thing about what we believe is that Jesus wants to be your very best friend, and that He can change any situation in your life. God

Man
We believe man is born separated from God - Man is made in the spiritual image of God, to be like Him in character. He is the supreme object of God's creation. Although man has tremendous potential for good, he is marred by an attitude of disobedience toward God called sin. Eternity
We believe in Heaven & Hell - Man was created to exist forever. He will either exist eternally separated from God by sin or in relationship with God through forgiveness and salvation. To be eternally separated from God is Hell. To be eternally in relationship with Him is eternal life. Jesus Christ
We believe that Jesus Christ is God - Jesus Christ is the Son of God. He is equal with the Father. Jesus lived a sinless human life and offered himself as the perfect sacrifice for the sins of all people by dying on a cross. He rose from the dead after three days to demonstrate his power over sin and death. Salvation
We believe in salvation by grace through faith - Salvation is a gift from God to people. People can never make up for their sin by self-improvement or good works. Only by trusting in Jesus Christ as God's offer of forgiveness can someone be saved from sin's penalty. The Holy Spirit
We Believe In The Baptism Of The Holy Spirit - The Holy Spirit is equal with the Father and the Son as God. He lives in every Christian from the moment of salvation. He is also present in the world to make people aware of their need for Jesus Christ. He provides the Christian with power to be a living witness, understanding of spiritual truth and guidance in doing what is right. The Bible
We believe the Bible is the word of God - The Bible is God's word to all people. It was written by human authors, under the supernatural guidance of the Holy Spirit. It is the supreme source of Truth for Christian beliefs and living.
